How We Address the Learning Gap

The transition from Math 7 to Math 8 is huge!

The transition from elementary to high school is a major change. Some students struggle with new stressors, increased responsibility and a fast paced math class. Students need to learn really quickly how to adapt and thrive in this type of new learning environment. At Beyond Learning, we help prepare students by introducing main Math 8 concepts in a thorough and engaging way. We aim to provide them with skills to manage learning concepts in a fast paced math classroom. While this gap has always existed, it is amplified this past year due to the pandemic. Students lost valuable instructional time with their teachers. We have taken this into consideration and have included these factors into our current teaching model.
